What you get

A real path to partnership, not a pitch contest.

The pitch.

A 20-minute pitch to TELUS Health senior leadership and TELUS Global Ventures, alongside the teams behind Medical Alert and SmartHome+. Real decision-makers, in the room, asking real questions.

The sprint.

The selected partner enters a 90-day collaborative sprint with our senior care team. Structured, resourced, and focused on figuring out if and how your product fits.

The path.

If the sprint goes well, a clear route into TELUS Health's senior care offering. The infrastructure, distribution, and customer base we've built over years.

Why this is different

We know what corporate innovation programs usually look like. A panel, a hackathon, a polite thank-you, and then nothing. This isn't that.

  • The decision-makers are in the room. Not gatekeepers, not delegates.
  • The 90-day sprint is structured and staffed. We've cleared the runway internally.
  • There's a real product ecosystem on the other side. Medical Alert and SmartHome+ already serve hundreds of thousands of Canadians. The integration path is mapped.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for commercially-ready digital health companies working in:

  • Fall detection and prevention
  • Caregiver support
  • In-home monitoring
  • Cognitive and emotional wellbeing for older adults
  • Medication management
  • Remote care coordination

The bar: a working product, real users, and a team that can move quickly through a 90-day sprint. If you're at prototype or research stage, this probably isn't the right fit yet.

Why we're hosting this

Caring for older adults is one of the most important things TELUS Health does. Through Medical Alert, SmartHome+, and the broader senior care work across the company, we support hundreds of thousands of Canadians and their families every day.

The field is moving fast, and the best ideas don't always come from inside one company. We're hosting this summit to find the partners who'll help us build what comes next.

Aging well at home is something I think about as a son, not just as someone who works at TELUS Health. The companies we're inviting are doing some of the most thoughtful work I've seen in this space. We want to build with them.

A few questions you might have

Is there a cost to apply or attend?

No. If you're selected as one of the six, we'll cover travel and accommodation for the summit.

Who owns the IP from the sprint?

You do. The sprint is about exploring an integration, not transferring ownership. Specific commercial terms get worked out only if the partnership moves forward after the 90 days.

What's the time commitment for the sprint?

Realistically, a meaningful share of your team's time over 90 days, with weekly working sessions and clear milestones. If your team can't commit, this probably isn't the right fit.

Do we have to be Canadian?

No, but you should have a credible plan to operate in Canada. TELUS Health's senior care customers are here.

What stage of company are you looking for?

Commercially-ready. A working product, real users, and revenue or a clear path to it.

What happens if the sprint doesn't lead to a partnership?

You walk away with 90 days of structured work alongside one of Canada's largest senior care providers. Direct feedback from the team, the customers, and the broader ecosystem. No cost, no equity, no strings.

Can we apply if we've talked to TELUS before?

Yes. Existing relationships don't disqualify you, and they don't give you a head start. Every application is reviewed the same way.
